As an introduction,  why not a limited network of zip line trails? Trails that are both practical and recreational - and can be used with roller blades, skateboards, and kick scooters? With many zip lines in high density areas, they would be useful to pedestrians  also.

PROPOSED  RESEARCH  FACILITY

The world's longest zip line located in greater Vancouver - a research facility and a practical link in a future system of cables that will form transit webs across the GVRD. The facility would serve also as a recreational center and tourist attraction. Two or three towers are envisioned, with many cables. Perhaps a few that stretch across the Fraser.
